JTDS was engaged by SJ Roberts Construction to oversee the development of the stage 3 package for the apartment building element on the London Road scheme in Shrewsbury. Our involvement commenced with a thorough design audit, revealing a number of issues in the initial proposals that required resolution before progressing to the stage 3 design phase.

In collaboration with SJ Roberts Construction and Lowfield Timber Frame, JTDS diligently addressed these design challenges. Through close cooperation and meticulous attention to detail, we ensured that the scheme aligned seamlessly with SJ Roberts’ objectives of striking a harmonious balance between design excellence and cost-effectiveness.

The development introduces a sustainable residential area right on the doorstep of Shrewsbury town centre, revitalising a location in need of regeneration. It offers an engaging, enjoyable, and enduring living environment for both residents and visitors. By enhancing the natural surroundings, it creates a unique and attractive place for residents to call home.

The scheme offers a minimum 31% betterment to current building regulation standards for energy efficiency and will be some of the most sustainable homes built within the County and will contain technology such as air source heat pumps and solar PV panels.
